Erasmus students from @swu_neofit_rilski and @aubg_edu took part in a joyful Martenitsa workshop! 🧶
🌍 Our diverse group included students from the USA, Mauritius, Armenia, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Zambia, and Germany! They discovered the legends behind Martenitsa and its symbolism of health, luck, and the arrival of spring. 🌱🌞
👗✨ A special shoutout to the talented students from our Fashion Design programme who assisted in the crafting process! 🎀🧵 Their creativity and skills made the workshop even more inspiring, helping Erasmus students bring their first Martenitsa to life with style.
Martenitsa is a symbol of the female beginning and embodies femininity. The event also promoted the upcoming International Women’s Day (8th March).
📍 After the workshop, we explored the Regional Museum of History in Blagoevgrad, where students explored the rich history of the city and the region. 🏺📖
